Once you’ve installed the WooCommerce Product Table plugin and chosen your default settings, it’s time to start creating product tables.

How to add a product table to a page

Gutenberg editor

WooCommerce Product Table Gutenberg Block

If you are using the Gutenberg editor, simply add the [product_table] shortcode to a ‘Shortcode’ or ‘Paragraph’ block.

Each product table will inherit the defaults from the plugin settings page. You can override these by setting the shortcode options in each individual product table – for example, to create different tables listing products from different categories

To continue configuring your product tables, please see the complete list of shortcode options.

Classic editor

Product Table Toolbar Button Icon If you are using the classic WordPress editor, then you can create a product table by going to any page or post and clicking the Insert Product Table toolbar button. This is located at the end of the second row of the toolbar (see image).

(Note: if you only have one row of buttons, you will need to click the ‘Toolbar Toggle’ button at the end of the first row.)

The button will insert a [product_table] shortcode into your page. You can create as many product tables on a page as you like. You can also use the [product_table] shortcode to add product tables to other areas of your website (e.g. text widgets).

How to add product tables to your main shop page and product category pages

If you want the product table layout to be used automatically on your main WooCommerce shop page, product categories etc., then you can do this by editing the archive template in your theme.
