I have password protected a category but I’m not being asked for a password
If this happens, first go to Products -> Categories and make sure a password has been entered for that category. You need to enter a password as well as selecting ‘Password protected’.
If your password has been set up correctly, try visiting the protected category from a different web browser. If you have previously unlocked the category then a cookie has been stored in your browser to let you re-visit the category without re-entering a password – this can explain why you’re not being asked for the password. To make sure your customers are being asked for a password, view the category page using ‘Incognito’ mode or a different browser.
