How do I update the plugin?

We regularly release new versions of all our plugins.

We recommend installing any updates when they become available. This is because we're constantly developing the plugin to add new features, fix any bugs and ensure compatibility with the latest version of WordPress (and WooCommerce if applicable). Updating to the latest version will let you take advantage of these improvements.

How to update

Updates are handled from the WordPress admin, in the same way as other plugins hosted in the wordpress.org repository. When an update is available, you will see a notice in the Plugins section of the WordPress admin or on Dashboard > Updates.

Click the update link under the plugin to update to the latest version.

How to update the plugin on a multisite

If you're using our plugins on a WordPress multisite, then you must install updates from the Network Admin and not from the admin for individual sub-sites.

Notes:

  • While your license key must be activated on each sub-site where you are using the plugin, you can only update to new versions of the plugin from the Network Admin. The Plugins list for the sub-sites will show that an update is available, but you can only install the update from the Network Admin.
  • The main site on a multisite acts as the default or 'root' site when checking for updates. This means that the plugin must be activated on the root site in order to update. If the plugin is not active on the root site, then the update will show as being available, but you won't be able to install it.

Problems with updates

If you get an error when you try to update one of our plugins, please see the separate article on troubleshooting plugin updates. This lists the most common errors and the reasons behind them. It's probably something simple such as your license key not being active.
